Journaling reads:

Nanny and her sisters Rexine and Rachel (Aunt Rex and Aunt Rae to me) lived in far-flung corners of the country. They grew up in Texas together, but Rae ended up in Oregon and Rex lived in New Mexico.

Nanny (Gip to her sisters because of her dark hair and eyes), used to read us the letters they would send to each other on a big circle. The round robin letter brought lots of news of their families and adventures. Although they didn’t phone each other often, and saw each other even less, they kept in touch. This photo was probably taken in the late 60’s in an airport.
